We’re looking for an energetic and experienced Senior Xero Bookkeeper & Payroll Specialist to join our amazing Perth based remote team.

About this Exciting Role
In this role you will be responsible for a portfolio of clients that align to your experience and expertise.
Your extensive Xero expertise and tech understanding will mean that you can easily work with the various Xero add ons such as Dext, Hubdoc, Kounta, Deputy & Float.
Your daily role will include data entry, bank reconciliations, AR / AP and payroll for your portfolio plus you’ll prepare IAS & BAS working closely with our internal BAS agents. Additional tasks that pop up include payroll tax, journal entries, detailed account reconciliations along with ad hoc client visits and Zoom calls.
As a BAS Agent you’ll not only prepare BAS for your own clients but you will review and sign off BAS for other client accounts across the business.
In addition to delivering all these impactful bookkeeping services you’ll also be a cheerleader, supporter and problem solver for your clients when ad-hoc challenges come up.
More about YOU
You’re already an experienced bookkeeper with at least 3-5 years working with Xero and hold a diploma or similar qualification.
You are a registered BAS Agent and are confident in preparing and signing off BAS returns.
You have an excellent understanding of the GST legislation and are confident to research and problem solve when something new comes your way.
You have an extremely high attention to detail and you love to dive deep into periods of concentration, getting excited as you tick tasks off your list, reconcile an account or solve an anomaly you uncovered.
You love tech and systems and always staying up to date with changes as you know that new updates can bring new efficiencies to both you and your client.
You are experienced with spreadsheeting and proficient with excel or google sheets and you easily learn new add-ons or integrations with Xero.
You are truly passionate about bookkeeping as a long term career and you want to work with a new business for the long term and offer a consistent service to your clients, ultimately supporting them to be as efficient, streamlined and as profitable as possible.
You are looking for regular committed hours working from home across at least 4 days per week and you want to join a truly supportive and knowledgeable team environment.
You are required to have a separate home office with an ergonomically sound work station to perform your work from home. We will conduct an assessment of your space prior to commencing.
